When *The Big Bang Theory* ended after 12 seasons, it wasn’t just the fans who found it hard to say goodbye—so did the cast. For Kaley Cuoco, who played the beloved Penny for over a decade, leaving behind the set that had become her second home was bittersweet. To keep a piece of the show with her, Cuoco made sure to take a special memento from the set.
In an interview, Cuoco revealed that she couldn’t leave without a personal souvenir. "I took the painting that was hanging in Penny’s apartment," she shared, referring to the iconic piece of art that had become synonymous with Penny’s quirky home decor. "That painting was a part of my character’s world for so long, and I just couldn’t imagine leaving it behind."
The colorful painting, often seen in the background of many scenes in Penny’s apartment, holds a deep sentimental value for Cuoco. "It’s like a little piece of Penny that I get to keep with me," she said.
Cuoco isn’t the only cast member to take a piece of the set with them. Several other actors also snagged items from the set, each wanting to preserve the memory of their time on the show. For Cuoco, though, the painting serves as a lasting reminder of the friendships and memories she built while portraying Penny for 12 unforgettable years.
